Facilities
The Maricopa Agricultural Center's main focus is on cotton, small grains, alfalfa, and new specialty crops that could be used to provide fibers, oils, pharmaceuticals, etc. The research projects are related to irrigation and crop water requirements, soils and crop fertility, insects and IPM management, cotton production and breeding, new and alternative cropping systems, weed control, cultural management practices, plant diseases, and urban entomology.

Instruction, Extension, and Event Infrastructure
Maricopa Agricultural Center is positioned to support teaching or instruction, Extension activities, as well as local events. Please note we do not provide beverage or catering services.
Multi-Purpose Room
Our Multi-Purpose Room can accommodate 190 people and is equipped with a projector, computer, and phone.
MAC Room 11
Room 11 can accommodate 20 people and is equipped with a TV w/HDMI cable and phone.
MAC Room 15
Room 15 can accommodate 16 people and is equipped with a TV w/HDMI cable and phone.
MAC Room 29
Room 29 can accommodate 15 people and is equipped with a TV w/HDMI cable and phone.
MAC Room 171
Room 171 can accommodate 13 people and is equipped with a TV w/HDMI cable and phone.
Housing and Dormitories
The dormitories at the Maricopa Agricultural Center are comprised of 6 singles and 2 doubles. They are each equipped with kitchenettes and private bathrooms.

Additional Facilities & Infrastructure
Irrigation Laboratory
The Irrigation Laboratory has 90 acres dedicated to irrigation research. The underground pipelines give the option of using different irrigation systems with water available on demand to conduct research projects. In addition, irrigation water of different quality can be provided on demand. Eight 4-acre fields have electricity to facilitate field instrumentation and remote data collection. Additional fields are available for expansion as the area for irrigation research needs increases.

Cotton Gin
The Maricopa Agricultural Center accepts seed cotton samples for the current ginning season. Ginning costs will vary depending on sample size, number of samples and protocol requirements. The ginning facility is available for inspection on request. Sample shipments can be easily accomplished by ACDS or FedEx.
Weather Station
The Maricopa Agricultural Center maintains an active Arizona Meteorological Network weather station from which information is collected on an hourly basis.
