Agriculture Technology Education Center
The Agriculture Technology Education Center (ATEC) is a classroom and hands-on laboratory providing training for agricultural education and agriculture technology management students, and professional development for secondary instructors in agriculture science and career and technical education. Instructional areas include woodworking, concrete, welding, plumbing, turf irrigation, residential electrical wiring, water harvesting, surveying, small gas engine maintenance, agriculture power and machinery management.

Biosystems Engineering
The Department of Biosystems Engineering (BE) serves Arizona, the nation and the planet through education, research and extension that focus on applying engineering design and management to biological systems to achieve enhanced productivity and sustainability pertaining to Water Resources, Food Production, Bioenergy and Bioproducts. BE offers residents of Arizona an opportunity to obtain an accredited engineering degree in Biosystems Engineering.

Controlled Environment Agriculture Center
The Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (CEAC) is a science- and engineering-based interdisciplinary program for education, research, outreach and project/business development with focus on controlled environment systems for food production. Improved resource utilization (water/nutrients, energy, labor and information) is achieved through studies in plant physiology and production, as well as, computer monitoring and control systems. Facilities include laboratories and greenhouses for research, teaching and demonstration/production, as well as, growth chambers and closed environment systems.

Covered Arena
The covered arena is used for teaching, livestock judging and 4-H events and has grandstand seating for up to 450.

Food Product and Safety Laboratory
The Food Product and Safety Laboratory is a state of the art, USDA inspected processing facility with full harvesting facilities, processing and fabrication rooms, and an interactive auditorium classroom connected to the fabrication room that allows instructors to use actual carcasses and demonstrate processing techniques in the classroom for instruction in meat animal composition and food safety.
In addition, the Food Product and Safety Laboratory provides food product safety and testing services for the food industry and consumers. A full range of testing and services are available including microbial evaluation, nutritional label analyses and chemical composition and microbial analyses of food items. The UA Food Product and Safety facility is the only one of its kind at a University in the Southwest.

Garage
The CAC garage has 2 full time mechanics that repair and service over 300 fleet vehicles assigned to both the Campus Agricultural Center (CAC) and the College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences (CALES). In addition, the facility is a certified State of Arizona emissions test center. Annual emission and vehicle safety inspections are also performed on all the eligible fleet vehicles.

Greenhouses
Our campus-based greenhouse facilities are also maintained for the College of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences (CALES) by the Tucson Area Agricultural Centers organization. The CALES Campus Greenhouse Facility provides controlled environmental growth rooms and greenhouse space for studies in plant-related sciences. The facility currently offers 14,752 square feet of greenhouse space. Support space totals 6,100 square feet, and includes four "head houses," several utility rooms, a central office, and two large walk-in growth rooms. For industry (non-University of Arizona research), the rental rate is $1.25 per square foot per month.

William J. Parker Agricultural Research Center
The William J. Parker Agricultural Research Center is a one-of-a-kind environmental control facility that is unique in that it combines state-of-the-art environmental control capabilities, including solar radiation, for heat stress with the ability to simultaneously study expression of over 20,000 individual genes in cattle and sheep. The building includes environmental rooms that can mimic any climate or heat cycle, surgery suites and laboratory facilities. Phase II of the facility was complete in September, 2006 and a third phase is slated for construction in the future.
